Hosted redirects for migrations & replatforms

Migrate domains.
Keep your rankings.

Import, test, and serve thousands of redirects for your site move — regex, wildcards, and analytics on every plan, with nothing to install and no server to run. Nothing 404s, and your rankings come through the move intact.

The migration trap

Where migrations go wrong

Domain forwards, plugins, and hand-rolled rules weren't built for SEO migrations. The defaults that feel easy are the ones that quietly cost you traffic.

Soft-404s

A basic forward sends every old page to one URL. Google reads those pages as gone, and rankings and link equity evaporate with them.

Redirect chains

A→B→C bleeds link equity and burns crawl budget. Most tools happily let chains pile up over time.

Tied to the old stack

Redirects living in the old WordPress plugin die the moment you migrate off it, right when you need them most.

Built for the job

Built around how migrations actually work.

Every default is the SEO-correct one. The hard parts are handled before anything goes live.

Bulk import

Drop in a CSV of thousands of URL mappings. Tag, filter, bulk-edit, and validate every row before launch.

Single-hop by default

Chains collapse at compile time: A→B→C becomes A→C. Every redirect resolves in one clean hop.

Test, then go permanent

Stage everything as 302 while you verify, then flip the whole domain to permanent 301 with one switch.

See what's missing

Live analytics surface the paths still 404ing, so you can close mapping gaps instead of guessing.

No server to run

We handle the infrastructure and TLS. It works with any CMS, and there's no plugin to install.

Every site, one dashboard

Multi-domain from line one. Onboard a client by adding a domain, not by standing up another box.

Every URL variant, handled automatically
  • Automatic HTTPS & renewals
  • www + root domain count as one
  • HTTP upgraded to HTTPS
  • Query strings preserved
  • Smart path matching
  • No accidental 404s
Three steps

Go live in an afternoon.

1

Import your map

Upload the redirect CSV from your crawl. Tag by section, spot duplicates and loops, review before anything ships.

2

Test every redirect

Run them in 302 test mode. Verify destinations resolve, catch double-hops, confirm query params carry through.

3

Point DNS & go live

Add the DNS records we show you (A + AAAA) and TLS is issued automatically. Flip the domain to permanent 301, then watch the misses report to close any last gaps.

Pricing

Power on every plan. Pay for capacity, not features.

Regex, wildcards, catch-all and analytics come with every paid plan. No add-ons, no per-feature paywalls. Start free with one domain, no credit card.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Do you handle HTTPS, www, and query strings?

Yes, automatically. We provision and renew TLS certificates for every domain (the root domain and www), upgrade HTTP to HTTPS, and forward query strings by default so tracking parameters survive the redirect. Matching is forgiving about trailing slashes and letter case by default, so URL variants don't slip through to a 404.

Will it touch our DNS or email?

No. Onboarding is an A and an AAAA record each for the root domain and www (four records for a typical domain), and we show you exactly what to add. We never touch MX, SPF, DKIM, or DMARC records. Your email keeps flowing exactly as it does today.

Do I need to install a plugin or run a server?

Neither. Redirect Shark runs at the DNS layer, separate from your site. It isn't tied to WordPress or any CMS, and your redirects survive the migration instead of dying with the old site.

301 or 302?

Both, on your terms. Stage a whole domain in 302 (temporary) while you test, then flip it to permanent 301 with one toggle when you're confident.

How do I import redirects?

A CSV mapping each source to its destination, with optional status, query-forwarding, and tags. Import thousands at once; we validate, collapse chains, and flag loops and duplicates before you publish.

What happens to URLs I didn't map?

Your choice, per domain. Most migrations add a path-preserving catch-all: anything unmapped forwards to the same path on your new site — the page either exists there, or your own branded 404 catches the visitor, and your analytics see the visit either way (UTM parameters carry through). Prefer strict? Leave the catch-all off and unmatched paths return a 404, each one logged in your misses report so you can map the ones that matter. Or send everything unmatched to a single page— your homepage or a hub — when that fits; just know Google treats blanket homepage redirects as soft-404s, so use it for visitors, not rankings. Whichever you pick, every unmatched hit is tracked, and nothing happens by default that you didn't choose.

What happens if your dashboard goes down?

Redirects keep serving. The engine reads precompiled rules and doesn't depend on the management app at all.
